Divide the board into two sides. Give each team 6 or seven consonants and write all the vowels on the middle line. Students come up and write one word. Students can double the consonants they have, but only receive stars for UNIQUE consonants in a word. Mom = 1 star (uses M if the team has M). Vowels do not count for stars. Stars increase exponentially: 1 letter = 1, 2 = 2, 3 = 4stars, 4 = 10stars, etc. Give and take letters as the game progresses.
